Mrs. Jennifer Leon

Mrs. Jennifer Leon, Dean of Students

I am excited to serve as the Dean of Students for Ettrick Elementary for the 2023-24 school year. Prior to joining the Ettrick community, I was a teacher for eighteen years in Chesterfield County at Evergreen Elementary and Crenshaw Elementary. I taught both fourth and fifth grades including working with a Special Education teacher in a collaborative classroom setting for sixteen of those years.

I am a proud two time graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Studies and a Master of Teaching. Go Rams! Currently, I am in the final semester of coursework at the University of Virginia to earn a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision graduating in December, 2023. Go Hoos!

I have two children benefiting from a CCPS education. My daughter will be a junior in high school, and my son just graduated and is heading to college in the fall. I grew up near the Blue Ridge Mountains, so I enjoy hiking and being outdoors. I also love to read and have been in a book club for over a decade.

I look forward to getting to know the Ettrick community and working together to support the academic, social, and emotional success of ALL students. Go Trojans!
